New Windows 8 Shortcuts


In addition to the new Windows 8 Shortcuts that are added in Windows 8, you can still use the same old shortcuts you’ve been using for years.  Windows 8 shortcuts will make life easier for you and give you quick and simple access to things.

This is a list of the new and useful Windows 8 shortcuts

Windows key & PgUp Moves the Start screen and the apps to the monitor on the left
Windows  key & PgDown Moves the Start screen and apps to the monitor on the right
Windows key & J Switch between the main app and snapped app
Windows key & C Open the charms
Windows key & F Open the Search charm for searching files
Windows key & H Open the Share charm
Windows key & I Open the Settings charm
Windows key & K Open the Devices charm
Windows key & O Lock the screen orientation
Windows key & Q Open the Search charm for searching apps
Windows key & W Open the Search charm for searching settings
Windows key & Z Shows the commands available in the app
Windows key & spacebar Switch the input language and the keyboard layout
Windows key & Ctrl & spacebar Changes to a previously selected input
Windows key & Tab Cycles through open apps (except the desktop apps)
Windows key & Ctrl & Tab Cycles through the open apps (except the desktop apps) and snaps them as they are cycled
