How to use Windows 8 Switch List Bar ?


Windows 8 Switch List Bar is used to Switch between opened Apps in Windows 8. This tutorial will show you different ways to use the Windows 8 Switch List bar, to easily switch between opened apps in Windows 8.

The below screenshot, shows how the Switch List Bar is displayed in both the Windows 8 Start Screen user interface as well as in the normal desktop interface.

Below are a few options for shortcuts that could be used to open Windows 8 Switch list bar:

Option 1

Press the WIN key and keep holding it + press the TAB key to open the switch list bar, and keep tapping the TAB key to switch through the list of all open apps. Choose the app you want to view and release the WIN key to switch to that specific app.

Option 2

Press the CTRL Key + WIN Key + TAB key, all together to open the switch bar list and then you can release the CTRL and the WIN Keys and tap the TAB key to switch through the list of all open apps. Choose the open app that you want to view and press the Enter key to switch to the app.

Option 3

Press the CTRL + WIN + TAB keys to open the switch bar list, then click on any open app to view to switch to the app.

Option 4

Take the pointer to the upper left corner of the start screen or the desktop screen, and you will see the recent opened app thumbnail appear, just slide the pointer down without clicking and the Switch List bar will appear, and select the app you want.

Option 5

Take the pointer to the bottom left corner of the start screen or the desktop screen and you will see the recent opened app thumbnail appear, then slide the pointer up without clicking and the Switch List bar will appear, just slide the pointer down without clicking and the Switch List bar will appear, and select the app you want.
