How to resize Windows 8 tiles ?


The start screen apps have colorful custom designed tiles, and by default all the App tiles in Windows 8 are displayed in the new Start screen user interface. Some are large and others are small (about half the size of the large tiles). However, every one’s taste is different and you might want to resize Windows 8 tiles, making them larger or smaller and customize them as per your taste.This tutorial will explain how to resize Windows 8 tiles.

Option1: To resize Windows 8 tiles by making the larger tiles smaller follow the below steps :

1. Go to the start screen, you can do that by simply pressing on the WIN key and the below screen will appear.

2. Select the larger tile that you want to make smaller (by right clicking on it).

3. When you select the tile you will notice that you will get three options in the bottom of the screen (unpin from start, uninstall and smaller) as seen in the below screenshot.

4. Click on the smaller option at the bottom, and the tile will become smaller immediately.
Note that some apps don’t have a smaller tile option, and therefore those tiles can’t be resized.

Option 2: To resize Windows 8 tile by making the tile smaller follow the below steps:

1. Go to the start screen, you can do that by simply pressing on the WIN key and the below screen will appear

2. Select the smaller App tile that you want to make larger (by right clicking on it)

3. When you select the tile you will notice that you get three options in the bottom of the screen (unpin from start, uninstall and larger) as seen in the below screenshot.

4.Click on the Larger option at the bottom and the tile will become larger immediately.
Note that some Metro apps don’t have a Larger option, and therefore those tile can’t be resized.

You can resize Windows 8 tiles, making them smaller or larger to customize the look on your screen to the way you want it to look
