This tutorial explains how to install and uninstall Windows 8 language pack and how to change Windows 8 display language.Windows 8 Language packs allow users to change the display language.
To install Windows 8 language pack and change the display language follow the below steps:
From the start screen, type language, and click on Settings as you can see in the below screenshot.
Click on Language on the Results panel.
From the “Change your language preferences” pane, click on “Add a language”.
Choose the language that you want to install. For example, choose French, and then click Open, and another window will open, listing different types of French Languages. Choose one, and then click on the Add button.
French language will now be added as one of your Windows 8 languages.
Click on Options next to the newly added language
If the Windows 8 language pack you added is available, click on Download and install language pack, and it will start downloading and installing.
When your new Windows 8 language pack is finished installing, it will now be displayed as available to use as a Windows display language. To make the new added language your display language, move it up to the top of the language list.
Note: you need to Log off and then log on to Windows in order for those changes to take effect
To uninstall a language packs, follow these steps:
First repeat Step 1 and Step 2 from the above instructions, and then continue with the below steps:
Under Change your language preferences, click on Options next to the language you want to uninstall.
Now, click on uninstall from the below screen, and Windows will start uninstalling the language pack, and the language pack will be removed from your system.
