You have to enable Windows 8 remote desktop, if you want to allow someone else to log into your system for any reason. This tutorial will show you some options on how to enable Windows 8 Remote Desktop.
Option 1: Enable Windows 8 Remote Desktop Connection via SystemPropertiesAdvanced.exe
Hold down the WIN key + R key to open the run command, and type “SystemPropertiesAdvanced.exe” and then click Ok.
After clicking Ok, The below screen will appear
In the Remote tab, check on the option “Allow remote assistance connections to this computer“. Also check on either of the options “Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desk top“ or “Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network level authentication“ depending on what you prefer.
Option 2: Enable Windows 8 Remote Desktop Connection via control panel
To open control panel from yous start user interface you can right click anywhere on the screen and you will see the below screen.
Click on All apps and you will see the below screen which will display many applications, select control panel.
Select System and security and the below screen will appear
Click on systems and then Advanced System Settings (on the right side of the window)
A new window will display, check the ‘Allow Remote Assistance connections to this Computer’ option, and choose the type of connections allowed by selecting the requested option under Remote Desktop.
TIP: If you want anyone to have remote access to your PC, you have to provide them with your PC`s IP. To find out your IP open command line by typing ipconfig in the command line.
