Applying Windows 8 default account picture is one of Windows 8 new features. It’s a great feature that enables users to further personalize their accounts more with their own pictures or whatever picture they choose. If you have multiple users in your Windows 8 and would like to apply your default account picture to all users and, you can apply that by enabling the policy responsible for this.
This tutorial will show you how to apply the default account Picture to all users in Windows 8 by enabling its related policy
To apply Windows 8 default account Picture to all users in Windows 8 follow the below steps:
Note: you can also open the Run command box by simply typing run from the Start screen and the run command option will show on the left side of the screen, click on it and the Run command box will open.
Type gpedit.msc in the Run box command and click OK. This command will start the Local Group Policy Editor as seen in the below screenshots.
Local Group Policy Editor is used to control many Windows settings.
Now that you have opened Local Group Policy Editor, navigate through: Administrative Templates, Control Panel and then choose User Accounts. This is shown in the below screenshot.
On the right side, under User Accounts you’ll see ‘Apply the default account picture to all users’ under setting, double-click on it and the below screen will appear.
Now that you have opened, the ‘Apply the default account picture to all users’ window click on Enabled in order to enable this setting. Then click on Apply, and then OK. Once you have enabled the ‘Apply the default account picture to all users’ policy, your default user account picture will be applied for all users in you Windows8.
